Frequently asked questions

What is an interview readiness score?

It measures how well you can back up a specific job's requirements in an interview — not just whether your resume matches the keywords. It combines up to seven dimensions: technical skills you've shown, quantified proof stories, day-to-day fit, experience level, measurable impact, leadership and certifications. Dimensions the job doesn't ask about are left out instead of guessed.

How are the interview questions generated?

From three sources: your own resume bullets (for example, “how did you measure that 35%?”), the skills and responsibilities in the job description, and the competencies it asks for, such as stakeholder management or leadership. Gaps and seniority add tougher questions. Each question explains why it's likely and how to answer it.

Is my resume uploaded or stored?

No. Your resume and the job description are analysed entirely in your browser and never sent to our servers. If you're not signed in, refreshing or closing the page clears them. Signed-in users keep them in that browser tab only, so an accidental refresh doesn't lose their work — signing out clears them.

What does “only listed — will be probed” mean?

The skill appears in your skills list but not in any role or project bullet. Interviewers often ask candidates to prove those skills, so prepare one concrete example: the problem, what you did with the skill and the result — and add it to a bullet on your resume.

What's in the free report and what's in the Prep Pack?

The free report includes your readiness score, the dimension breakdown, the skills map, likely topics, a 60-second “tell me about yourself” pitch and eight questions with practice mode. The Interview Prep Pack adds every question with STAR outlines from your experience, a 7-day plan, full practice mode, all questions to ask the interviewer and a printable PDF.

Does it work for non-technical roles?

Yes. It recognises skills across engineering, data, product, design, marketing, sales, finance, HR, operations, healthcare, education and legal roles, and adapts the role-specific questions to the job family it detects.
